Chinese Olympic Committee to Strengthen Ties with JOC

China would like to strengthen its relationship with Japan in all aspects in sports, Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) president Yuan Weimin told visiting Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) delegation Tuesday in Beijing.

Yuan, also executive president of the Beijing Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (BOCOG) said: "I believe your visit, which is in the year to mark the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic ties between the two countries, will enhance our cooperation in sports."

JOC president Tsunekazu Takeda said they would help COC and BOCOG host a successful Olympic Games, since Japan had the experience of staging both summer and winter Olympics.

"Hopefully we can sign a certain contracts on sports science and sports medical care, and we will work closely together in international sports organizations," Takeda said.

The JOC delegation will visit the Beijing Sports University, Beijing Olympic Sports Center, Chinese Doping Control Laboratory and the training center of Chinese national teams on Wednesday.
